Locality:Wessels Mine, Kalahari Manganese Field, Northern Cape Province, South Africa
Description:Colorful specimen of pink manganese-rich translucent calcite (with possibly kutnohorite) in mushroom-shaped aggregates up to 35 mm high with sparkling black manganite and transparent colorless microcrystals on the terminations. Ex. Robert C. Lambert (1919-2008) #96; acquired in 1979 from the Lesnicks
